Broad-based Study in Theological Disciplines

Our flexible graduate degree program is adaptable to the personal goals and occupational needs of individuals who are not seeking ordination.

Our fully accredited, 52-credit Master of Arts in Religion is ideal for those seeking advanced study in religion as an aid to vocational, spiritual and intellectual development. This could be a means of personal enrichment or as a preparatory step for further advanced studies in religion.

Our program provides a broad-based study in the traditional theological disciplines and also offers the opportunity to concentrate in one of more fields of special interest. You’ll complete your degree with a capstone project that demonstrates your competence in one of the four curriculum fields: Bible, History, Theology and Ethics, Church Life and Work.

The director of the Master of Arts in Religion program is Greg Carey, PhD, Professor of New Testament.
