Merit & Need-Based Scholarships

  • Work directly with your admissions officer to explore scholarship opportunities
  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for need-based aid consideration

External Scholarships

  • Browse our curated outside scholarship database for additional funding opportunities
  • Many denominational and private organizations offer theological education scholarships

Federal Student Loans

First Time at LTS? New federal loan borrowers must complete two required steps:

  1. Entrance Counseling

    • Complete online at studentaid.gov
    • Select “Complete Loan Entrance Counseling”
    • LTS receives automatic notification upon completion
  2. Master Promissory Note (MPN)

    • Complete online at studentaid.gov
    • Select “Complete a Loan Agreement (Master Promissory Note/MPN)”

Managing Existing Loans

In-School Deferment

If you have prior Stafford Loans, you can request an in-school deferment:

  1. Contact your current loan servicer to obtain the deferment form
  2. Submit your completed form to the LTS Registrar
