Merit & Need-Based Scholarships
- Work directly with your admissions officer to explore scholarship opportunities
- Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for need-based aid consideration
External Scholarships

- Many denominational and private organizations offer theological education scholarships
Federal Student Loans
First Time at LTS? New federal loan borrowers must complete two required steps:
- Entrance Counseling
- Complete online at studentaid.gov
- Select “Complete Loan Entrance Counseling”
- LTS receives automatic notification upon completion
- Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- Complete online at studentaid.gov
- Select “Complete a Loan Agreement (Master Promissory Note/MPN)”
Managing Existing Loans
In-School Deferment
If you have prior Stafford Loans, you can request an in-school deferment:
- Contact your current loan servicer to obtain the deferment form
- Submit your completed form to the LTS Registrar
