LANCASTER, PA, May 15, 2025 — On the heels of its 200th anniversary celebration in April, Lancaster Theological Seminary (LTS) has announced another special event at its historic campus at 555 W. James Street.

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Seminary will host a commemorative concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of its cherished Santee Chapel. The program is free and open to the public, with registration requested via Eventbrite. A reception will follow the performance.

“Santee Chapel has been the spiritual heart of our campus for a century, resonating with prayers, music, and the shared commitment of countless future faith leaders,” said the Rev. Dr. Catherine Williams, Director of Chapel Worship and Associate Professor of Preaching and Worship at LTS.

“This concert celebrates not just a building, but a sacred space that has shaped the spiritual formation of generations. The chapel’s acoustics have carried hymns of hope and sermons of substance for 100 years, and we’re honored to mark this milestone with music that both honors its rich heritage and looks to its future role in our community,” Williams notes.

The Santee Chapel 100th Anniversary Concert will feature a diverse lineup of regional artists and members of the LTS family, including the renowned Lititz Trombone Choir, award-winning singer-songwriter the Rev. Liz Fulmer ‘20, pianist and organist the Rev. Scott Siciliano ’17, marimbist Jenna Duranko ’25, flautist the Rev. Dr. Barbara Kershner Daniel ‘83,’96 and the inspirational LTS Gospel Ensemble led by the Rev. Dr. Kellie Turner ‘18. Together, these performers will celebrate the chapel’s legacy and acoustic brilliance with an evening of moving and memorable music.

For 200 years, Lancaster Theological Seminary has played a vital role in preparing religious and community leaders grounded in faith, justice, and service. The Santee Chapel centennial concert offers a chance to honor this legacy, deepen connections among students, alumni, and faith communities, and position LTS for continued growth.

Now part of Moravian University, the Seminary has broadened its reach while preserving its distinct identity and mission.
