LTS Policies

The following policy statements regarding an Open and Affirming stance and non-discrimination have been adopted by LTS:

Statement of Lancaster Theological Seminary

In keeping with its long tradition of affirmation for and inclusion of all persons called by God to prepare for ordained and other ministries in the Christian Church, and in recognition of the inherent value of a diverse learning community, Lancaster Theological Seminary welcomes persons of every race and ethnicity, age, disability status, class, denomination, sexual orientation, and gender identity into every level of the life of this seminary (students, faculty, staff, trustees, and volunteers).
Approved by LTS Board of Trustees April 2006

Statement of Non-discrimination

Lancaster Theological Seminary affirms a commitment to equality of opportunity for all individuals and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, age, creed, marital status, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, affectional preference, veteran or citizenship status in admissions, financial aid, educational programs, housing and services, or in employment practices.

Beyond the policy of non-discrimination, the Seminary acts affirmatively to attain a more balanced representation of under-represented racial and ethnic minorities in order to add valuable diversity to the life of the school.
