Comprehensive Vocational Review

The Comprehensive Vocational Review (CVR) is an important evaluative moment for students in the M.Div. program. The CVR is an opportunity for each student and the faculty to examine and assess her or his progress in preparation for ministry and suitability for continuing in the program.
The CVR takes place at the 200 level, while a student is taking MS 207. At this level, the goals include assessing the degree to which a student has addressed concerns and the degree to which a student has integrated what she or he has learned so far in the program. In preparation for this review, students are required to perform a self-evaluation, to identify any unmet program, denominational, or discipline requirements, and to prepare the CVR packet. This review is performed with the Ministerial Guide, Faculty Advisor, judicatory representative, field education supervisor, and student peer.

Students should be in conversation with their Faculty Advisor and Ministerial Guide about the process.
