Online Theological Study
Incorporating emerging technologies, Lancaster Theological Seminary seeks to introduce participants to theological study while providing flexibility that does not require moving or commuting to a seminary's campus. We aim to develop offerings that provide a theological foundation should the participant desire to pursue the Master of Divinity or Master of Arts degree program at Lancaster Seminary, or simply as a way to support one’s interest in life-long learning.
Online offerings in past semesters have include Jesus and the Gospels and Introduction to Theology, both of which fulfill requirements in Lancaster Seminary’s Master of Divinity and Master of Arts programs. Two courses, Reformed Theology and Digital Literacy for the Contemporary Church, have been offered as hybrid courses, partly on-line with on-campus segments. These introductory courses are relevant to all who want to explore Christianity in the context of a collaborative learning environment.
Whether desiring to pursue Christian theological studies in the future or simply enhancing and expanding one’s knowledge, the participant will delve deeper into the study of Christianity through an experience that includes:one-on-one instructor connection, video lectures, forum discussions, collaborative projects, and relevant media content.
