Annual FundGifts to the Annual Fund are the lifeblood of Lancaster Theological Seminary’s mission. Your Annual Fund gifts support everything from faculty salaries to purchasing library and technology resources, from maintaining and operating facilities to running programs—everything that is the infrastructure for the learning and formation that takes place here to provide congregations and communities with outstanding Christian leaders. Gifts to the Annual Fund also provide a “hidden scholarship” for every student. They cover the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student. So every LTS student benefits from your contribution. The Association of Theological Schools estimates that the cost to educate one full-time seminarian is approximately $47,000 per year. This year at LTS tuition is $13,250. A gap of $33,750 will exist for each student. Annual Fund gifts: . . . help the seminary hold down the cost of theological education, allowing more people to say “Yes” to God’s call to ministry. . . . are put to use immediately where they are needed most. Last year, your gifts to the Annual Fund provided for: . . . the development of a new academic track for degree and certificate students—Youth and Young Adult Ministry. . . . the life-changing cross-cultural journey for second-year M.Div. students to Israel and the West Bank. . . . the placement of students in field education sites where they confirmed the call to leadership, developed pastoral skills, and deepened their sense of pastoral identity. Thank you! A matching gift from your employer could double your gift to Lancaster Seminary.
