Welcome and thank you for your interest in Lancaster Theological Seminary! The decision to pursue theological education can be a challenging endeavor with many different factors to consider. Responding to God's call and a desire to pursue theological education involves faith and preparation. As you navigate these waters of discernment, the Admissions Staff here at LTS see it as our great joy and calling to assist you in throughout your process of inquiry and possibly applying to one of our degree or certificate programs. Lancaster Theological Seminary is a vibrant and inclusive community of learning and spiritual formation. We value diversity and the integration of intellectual, spiritual, social and vocational learning. Our closely-knit community here at LTS provides a rich setting for critical engagement, support, and ministry preparation. Our outstanding faculty care deeply about ministry and how passionate teaching prepares people for it. Below, is a quick glance at the degree programs offered here at Lancaster Theological Seminary

• Master of Divinity is designed for persons seeking a vocation in ordained ministry or preparation for doctoral studies in religion.

• Master of Arts in Religion is crafted for a lay vocation informed by faith perspectives. This program allows students to concentrate in one or more fields of special interest.

• Certificate of Lay Leadership is designed for a congregational leadership position or spiritual/personal enrichment.

• Unclassified is designed for persons looking to increase their knowledge of a particular subject without pursuing a degree or for those desiring time to decide on a particular degree program.

• Special Student Status is for those who are students in a degree program at an ATS accredited institution who desire to supplement their studies with a course at LTS.

• Doctor of Ministry is for religious professionals endeavoring to advance their practice of ministry.
